Jane Yolen will deliver the second annual Butler Lecture, "Folklore vs. Fakelore: The Truth About Folk, Fairy, and Fantasy Stories" on the evening of Wednesday, February 26 at 6 p.m. in Martin Recital Hall. The lecture will be followed by a reception and booksigning.

Yolen is a decorated and beloved author of more than 300 books of fantasy, folklore, and poetry for children and teens. Her work includes such popular titles as Briar Rose (Tor), the Pit Dragon Chronicles (Delacorte), the How Do Dinosaurs…? series (Scholastic), Caldecott Medal-winner Owl Moon (Philomel), and Wizard’s Hall (Harcourt). She splits her time between Massachusetts and Scotland.

The lecture is generously supported by the Butler Family Foundation and is free to attend, with registration required.
